One of the things I miss the most is a nice, thick milkshake! During the summer, we eat ice cream like it's going out of style! And while there are a few great non-dairy/paleo homemade ice cream recipes out there, this one is a great, healthy alternative to the traditionally heavy, icey milkshake you grew up with. It's loaded with banana and almond butter with a touch of cocoa and maple syrup to make it a sweet treat to eat (hey, that rhymed!). I hope you enjoy it!

Notes
I have also used 1/4 cup of almond milk and 1/4 cup of coconut milk to thin out the consistency of the shake. Do what works for you!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup canned coconut milk
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 banana
- ~5 ice cubes
Instructions
- Place all ingredients into a blender or Nutribullet, and blend until smooth.
